December 2020 Update

With the good news on vaccines it looks much more likely that festivals and other outdoor events will be able to take place as planned next summer.  Our own plans are well-advanced. 53 of the 55 main stage artists booked for 2020 are now confirmed for 2021 and we’ve added Lindisfarne and Scottish fiddle ace Duncan Chisholm to our 2021 line-up which can be viewed here.

Wickham Festival – COVID-19 UPDATE

Hello! The Prime Minister has announced the closure of all public entertainment venues for the foreseeable future. Assuming this ban is relaxed at some point before early August the Wickham Festival will be ON. Given our August dates are still 20 weeks away we hope the peak of the pandemic will be over by then and you will be able to leave your homes and enjoy yourselves again listening to the likes of Van Morrison, The Waterboys and many more.

More artists announced for 2020

Over this weekend we’ve updated our website with another batch of artists within our Line Up section. There’s some great new additions we’re excited to welcome to Wickham Festival 2020. As ever there will be several debut performances as well as those that have entertained us before. We believe this is probably the strongest line-up in depth of any celtic / folk / roots / blues / rock festival this summer. What’s more, if you buy your tickets now we continue to be cheaper than Cambridge Folk Festival, Cornbury, Larmer Tree and Beautiful Days amongst others.

Were very sorry to hear that Steve Harley has died. He appeared many times at Wickham, usually with his own band but also with Spike Edneys SAS Band. He always gave a great show and was always a pleasure to work with. Were so sad to hear of his passing and extend our deepest sympathies to his family.

Here's a backstage interview which Steve gave to our Festival Press Officer Graham Hiley in 2018. It's a great interview. Do give it a listen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJh3FjE2Vro

We saw him at Wickham he was brilliant despite having to sit for the performance as he had leg or hip problems! Didn't affect the energy of his set! Sad loss!
