It’s been a busy and productive fortnight at Wickham HQ with 10 new bookings confirmed since we announced the legendary Suzi Quatro will be headlining our Friday night. She will be joined on Friday 2nd August by Ranagri, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Sarah Smout, and The Longest Johns. This will be a Wickham debut for the award-winning English/Irish folk band Ranagri.
The Longest Johns went down a treat in 2022 and we’re delighted to have them back this year. They rock maritime songs alongside the more unusual and less traditional folk tunes. Their official video of Wellerman has racked up an incredible 4.6M views on YouTube over the last two years.
On Saturday 3rd August we’ve another superb artist confirmed. The award-winning English folk singer and multi-instrumentalist Jim Moray will be appearing.
We’re delighted to announce Katherine Priddy, RURA, Ryan Young, Honey & the Bear, and last but certainly not least, Muireann Bradley will be joining us on Sunday 4th August. RURA are best described as one of Scotland’s most exciting live bands. This award-winning band sold-out Glasgow’s famous Barrowland Ballroom last month and are perfect for Wickham’s “Kilt Sunday” attire.
Where to start with the incredible Muireann Bradley. She was THE star on Jools Holland’s New Year’s Eve Hootenanny. With only 4 UK dates announced, 2 of which are UK Festivals (Green Man being the other), we’re dead chuffed to have this 17-year-old Irish country blues rising star grace our stage!
We still have many more artists to announce this year so watch this space!
