Presenting our Wickham Festival 2022 Line Up so far

For the last month we’ve been posting on our Facebook & Twitter channels the artists that we’ve booked for Wickham Festival 2022 so far.  We finally felt we’ve now got enough acts to update our line pages.  Wickham Festival 2022 will be staged from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th August 2022 on our newly grassed arena field … no more straw stubble! We’ll be returning to our normal site layout next year with two Big Tops and all our usual attractions on a more compact site than in 2021.

Fairport Convention for Wickham Festival

Good news & bad news on artists appearing at next month’s Wickham Festival.

Sadly The Waterboys; Lil’ Jimmy Reed; The Slambovian Circus of Dreams; and Gaz Brookfield have all had to cancel due to COVID travel restrictions on artists from overseas and resulting UK tour cancellations.

All these artists are already re-booked for Wickham 2022. If you have Sunday day tickets for this year’s Festival you can either still attend or rollover your Sunday tickets to 2022. The Waterboys will now be appearing on Sunday 7th August 2022.

Were very sorry to hear that Steve Harley has died. He appeared many times at Wickham, usually with his own band but also with Spike Edneys SAS Band. He always gave a great show and was always a pleasure to work with. Were so sad to hear of his passing and extend our deepest sympathies to his family.

Here's a backstage interview which Steve gave to our Festival Press Officer Graham Hiley in 2018. It's a great interview. Do give it a listen. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJh3FjE2Vro

Noooo! He was so lovely. RIP you came up and made me smile.

We saw him at Wickham he was brilliant despite having to sit for the performance as he had leg or hip problems! Didn't affect the energy of his set! Sad loss!

Heartbreaking news; Steve’s music has been ( and will remain) very much a part of our lives. Our thoughts are with his family. RIP Steve, you will be missed ♥️

We were there at his last Wickham gig and also a more recent intimate theatre gig nearer to home, just last year. Very different but loved both. A brilliant performer and a very nice guy. Will be sadly missed. 😢
