Wickham Festival News

December 2020 Update

With the good news on vaccines it looks much more likely that festivals and other outdoor events will be able to take place as planned next summer.  Our own plans are well-advanced. 53 of the 55 main stage artists booked for 2020 are now confirmed for 2021 and we’ve added Lindisfarne and Scottish fiddle ace Duncan Chisholm to our 2021 line-up which can be viewed here.

Wickham Festival tickets make great Christmas presents and we’ve ‘frozen’ prices at 2020 rates – you can save £60 on the full price of an adult season ticket if you buy now (just £160 for the full 4 days instead of £220).

For those camping in a caravan or motor-home we’ve added the option of an electric hook-up for the first time. Spaces are limited – first come, first served. You can buy Festival tickets and electric hook-ups on our tickets page.

Our Wickham compere, Alistair Russell, has written a book! It’s a light-hearted look at life on the road as a travelling musician & sound engineer. It’s received rave reviews from the critics and makes a great Xmas present. Copies can be ordered online here with despatch in time for Xmas:

Learn a few songs, pack up your guitar and see the world as a touring musician!

‘…crammed full of beautifully recounted, mostly hilarious, tales from tour and beyond. A must read for everyone who loves traveling & loves music….. in fact, a must read for everyone!’
Kate Rusby

Thank you once again to everyone who donated to our CrowdFunder – we really appreciated your support. We’re in the process of contacting everyone who booked a ‘Reward’. You should hear from us shortly. 2021 calendars & T-Shirts are being mailed out in the coming week and details of how to claim other rewards will follow soon afterwards.

    Superb news, thank you

Marvellous news. He played with just a violinist in Totnes last year and was very good, but with Amsterdam it’ll be great!

Rah! One of the best out there!

Tom Robinson is legendary now. The TRB band were a stall of the punk era.

Looking forward to seeing Tom Robinson he was so good at Wickham when he played with the SAS band he really was enjoying himself.

We saw Leo Sayer in November at a local theatre and I have to say he was very, very good much better than i expected. Voice is still strong, the band are very accomplished and his song book is stacked, a few songs I had forgotten, Just a Boy was his opener and set the standard for the evening.
