Wickham Festival News

This time next week – Sunday 6th August 2017

In exactly 7 days we’ll be looking forward to a full day of entertainment to bring Wickam Festival 2017 to a close. And what a line up! Festival favourites Winters Hill will be opening The All Time Grates Stage at midday whilst Ray Cooper will be opening The Hapi Festival Stage.

He’ll be followed by BeX who has a busy weekend lined up. She’ll be heading straight to Wickham having performed on the BBC Introducing Solent stage at Shepards Warf Marina the day before. We always like to try something new and will be welcoming The Electric Swing Circus to The Hapi Festival Stage at 3pm. Fronted by an engaging female double-act, they combine electro beats, gypsy-jazz guitar, vintage samples, electric double bass, keys, live drums and dirty synths.

Another act with energetic stage presence is Tankus the Henge, taking to The All Time Grates Stage at 5.15pm to kick off our evening. They’ve toured America and Europe with a steaming piano in tow.

Meanwhile on The Hapi Festival Stage Gaz Brookfield will be making his Wickham debut. The last few years have seen him play at over 100 UK festivals, including Glastonbury, Beautiful Days, Bearded Theory, and many more. This has firmly cemented him as an acoustic / folk festival favourite and we just couldn’t miss him out of our super Sunday line up to make it a day to remember!

Another performer sure to make an impression is John Otway. He’ll be on The Hapi Festival Stage at 7.15pm. With his surreal sense of humour and a self-deprecating underdog persona he’ll fit right into the Wickham atmosphere…

To wrap up our evening on The All Time Grates Stage we have Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band and Peatbog Faeries. Here they are at Wickham Festival 2011…

This is just a taster of our line up for next Sunday, we hope you’ll join us! Our glamping tents are now all up. Our tented camping fields are all grass and in tip-top condition despite all the recent rain.

Our glamping field looking green and ready for 2017

We also have a mixed camping field for groups of friends wishing to camp together in a mix of tents and vans.  Space is limited so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.  See you in 4 days!!!
