Wickham Festival News

Last chance to save £40 on Earlybird tickets!

We’ve just added more artists to our line up section. On Friday 3rd August we’ll be welcoming Show of Hands and The Emily Askew Band. The ever-popular Show of Hands performed last year when they treated us to a slowed down version of the Don Henley classic “The Boys of Summer”.

We’re delighted to announce that John Illsley of Dire Straits will be bringing his all-star band (with Robbie McIntosh on lead) to the 2018 Wickham Festival, performing classic Dire Straits hits and more on Saturday 4th August.

Another act for Saturday 4th August is Merry Hell. They last appeared at Wickham in 2016. We’re also pleased to say Pierce Brothers from Australia, who ‘wowed’ the Cropredy Festival in 2016 & 2017, will be at Wickham on Saturday.  Check out the “didgeridoo cam” at 1:40!

Several people have asked for a bit more blues music and Sunday is shaping up to deliver on those requests. The Blues Band are one of the best live blues bands around and will be at the 2018 Wickham Festival on Sunday 5th August.

Legendary rock & blues singer Maggie Bell will perform a special set with Blues Band guitar maestro Dave Kelly.

Just in case that wasn’t enough blues, we’re delighted to announce that the wonderful jazz and blues singer Mary Coughlan will be flying in with her band from Ireland for Sunday too!

There’s only a few more days to save £40 on weekend Earlybird tickets. Prices will increase after 31st December so don’t miss out on this great saving! We’ll also have day tickets available from the 1st January 2018. We wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that 2018 will be a great year for you.

It's great, but I have a question, why do flute players often stand on one leg ? Is it just because they can ?

I’d do a similar thing if you’d book me I guess I’m the leader of the uninvited

They have a string attached to bellows on their back, gives the lungs a 'breather'..

Were delighted to say The Twisted Tearooms will be back at Wickham this summer. And weve some wonderful new food & drink offerings along with all your Wickham favourites.
