Presenting our Wickham Festival 2022 Line Up so far

For the last month we’ve been posting on our Facebook & Twitter channels the artists that we’ve booked for Wickham Festival 2022 so far.  We finally felt we’ve now got enough acts to update our line pages.  Wickham Festival 2022 will be staged from Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th August 2022 on our newly grassed arena field … no more straw stubble! We’ll be returning to our normal site layout next year with two Big Tops and all our usual attractions on a more compact site than in 2021.

There are certainly some exciting names to look forward to.  The Waterboys were booked for our (cancelled) 2020 festival and then in 2021 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions they could not appear.  We can happily say they will be performing next year as a headliner… so it’s third time lucky!

There are many Wickham debuts to look forward to.  One such act is Rumer performing on Friday 5th August 2022. Songs written by the British singer, like “Slow” and “Aretha,” made her a worldwide million-seller but she also has an unerring instinct for the work of others.

Of course there are welcome returns for several acts including Oysterband, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, Skinny Lister, and Ferocious Dog.

As ever we’ve also booked some diverse acts to cater for a wide range of musically tastes.  We’ve got artists that will get you up on feet with their infectious dance grooves such as Cut Capers and Town of Cats.

Please visit our line up page to see the full list of artists announced so far.  This is by no means a complete list, we’ll be adding more as bookings are confirmed in the coming months.  We’ve also been busy arranging our other attractions such as The Magic Teapot and the ever-popular Bug Beats silent disco.

It’s boogie time with Bug Beats silent disco!

You can still save £70 on every adult 4-day weekend season ticket if you book now. They make great Christmas presents! Please note prices will rise on 1st January so don’t delay, book today!

If you’ve already booked your 2022 season tickets, Thank You! If you booked by post or before leaving this year’s Festival, you should receive your 2022 tickets in the next fortnight together with a souvenir Wickham Festival Christmas card.

If you were unable to attend our Festival this year due to COVID-19 and have rolled-over your tickets to 2022, you should receive your new 2022 tickets before the end of this year. Please don’t email us asking where your tickets are – we’re currently deluged with emails and just don’t have time to reply to everyone. Please only contact us if you don’t receive your new tickets by 1st January.

Here's another. Heinz Burt Close in Eastleigh. Named after Heinz, the former bass player of The Tornados (famed for their hit Telstar)

Not named after me as such, but I’ve dj’d the silent disco the last 2 years for Bug Beats Events at the Wickham Music Festival! 🤣🤣

There's Charles Watts Way at Hedge end of course

Hi Pete. Did you see my email. Croft No 5 have reformed!! 😊

I saw Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance in 1976 in the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm. What a great band.

    Marylebone, London

As part of the 'other festival' in Pilton you will find a new road Maggies Farm, not a band member but of course from Bobs tune.

OK - I need to get out more! Here’s a little something to fulfil the request!

    Ash Smither

Can't remember where this was now but great name 🤭

Of course its Swansea so it may be the Welsh Dylan

    Spotted this in Partinico, Sicily.

In his home town of Paisley.

Not a road name, but Billy Bragg Bicycles sign in Gillingham is one I remember from childhood. Obviously not that Billy Bragg!
