Wickham Festival News

Our 2021 site build has begun!

With less than a week to go it’s nearly time to welcome you all back to Wickham Festival 2021. We’ll have great music and comedy, bars and food stalls, crafts, workshops and classes … it’s going to be a great year. We can’t wait!!!

Our festival site was a hive of activity this Thursday evening as our build got going. We’re so looking forward to enjoying great live music in the safe outdoors again.  Please keep up to date with our site build progress across our social channels as we’ll be adding new photos every day as things takes shape.

The site build begins! Stand-by for the best ever Wickham Festival.

We’ve also now added performance times across all 4 stages in our line up section.  To help you plan your weekend, check out our page on Clashfinder.  There are some fantastic artists to discover on The Quay West Cave and Acoustic Stages such as Justin Capps and The Cavaliers with their Americana-tinged Acoustic Indie-Folk with Soul.  They will be are headlining The Quay West Cave on Friday, 6th August.  Every year we get great feedback about bands you’ve discovered and we’re passionate about supporting our local artists.

We’d also like to thank The Guitar Store Southampton who are kindly sponsoring The Acoustic Stage this year.  They have generously donated a guitar, and not just any guitar … a Fender CD60 V3 Dreadnought!  This will be signed by artists appearing at the festival, before being raffled for the fantastic George’s Rockstars CharityClick here to enter the raffle.

All proceeds (minus transaction fee) go to George’s Rockstars (charity no# 1188730) which provides music therapy for children in hospital, currently at Queen Alexandra hospital, Portsmouth and very soon at Southampton Children’s Hospital.

George’s Rockstars are running a body percussion workshop at the Acoustic Stage on Saturday 7th (morning time tbc) with their music therapist Cathy.  They will also have a stall with musical instrument craft activities for the kids.  Please visit their stall and show your support for Helping Kids Rock by providing music therapy for children in hospital.

We look forward to welcoming you all this time next week.
The (very busy) Wickham Festival Team

We're sorry to report that London Irish band Neck will no longer be appearing at Wickham following the sad death of their frontman Leeson O'Keeffe from pancreatic cancer. 😢

Steve Harley was an audience favourite at Wickham Festival, and a delight to work with. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
