Wickham Festival Travel Information

If travelling to the Wickham Festival this weekend please note campsites are open from 12 noon to 9pm Wednesday and then from 10am onwards on Thursday.

Please follow the yellow Festival signs on arrival in Wickham, then as you approach the traffic lights at the junction of the A334 Winchester Road and Blind Lane, the signs directing you to our camping fields as follows:

If camping in tents or glamping, please follow the signs for ‘tented camping’ with a new entrance on the A334 Winchester Road. Do NOT travel via Blind Lane as in the past.

If camping in caravans or motorhomes, please follow the signs for ‘caravans & motorhomes camping’ and enter via Blind Lane.

If camping in a mix of tents and vehicles, please follow the signs for ‘mixed camping’ and enter via Blind Lane and Frith Lane. Please note the ‘mixed camping’ field is likely to fill-up fairly quickly, we have an overflow ready but we regret the surface is not so good for tented campers. Please bring a groundsheet, blanket or similar if you can.

Please have your camping ticket ready for inspection.

Our Box Office will be open from 12 noon Wednesday & Thursday for you to exchange tickets for wristbands and buy Festival programmes. If arriving Wednesday please note there’s an extra concert at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening in the nearby Wickham Community Centre featuring Fake Tackray, Les Barker, Jim Malcolm & Alistair Russell. Entry is free to weekend season ticket holders.

With sunshine forecast all weekend and our Festival site looking lovely and in great condition, we hope you enjoy a safe journey and a fantastic Wickham Festival.

With the site build finished, this is how things look first thing Thursday 2nd August 2018…

Not the muddy start that welcomed you last year.

If you’ve yet to buy tickets, they’re still available here and will be on sale at the gate each day.

The Campaign has been in all the national newspapers this week. There's a great article by Lorraine Kelly in today's Sun.

It’s hard to look at pictures of these senseless killings, and so easy to walk past a stall such as this when enjoying our musical freedoms at your wonderful festival. But these beautiful creatures now have no freedom and we applaud your stance on trying to do something to stop this appalling animal trophy tourism. Wickham will always be our favourite festival. 👏

We'll be visiting the stall. Excellent, thank you Wickham xxx

    Well done wickham

We will definitely be visiting the stall!

Even putting cruelty, suffering and animal loss to one side. Is this now morally acceptable behaviour? No, it isn’t. We are but guests on this planet and will be gone eventually but while we are here is this really how we should be treating the only home we have?

We'll see you there... this is despicable

Great cause. Take a look at this recent senseless killing of a magnificent elephant that we are trying raise awareness of too: Desert Elephants & Friends Voortrekker the Desert Elephant

    Will do.

Baffles me how beastly people can hold down a relationship and I cant ...I don't even kill animals then gloat lovingly over their lifeless corpses... maybe I'm going about things wrong...!

Can’t wait as love this festival, one thing I would ask is have you sorted the issue of entrances and exits to the stages/ tents being blocked by camping chairs as last year was an accident waiting to happen.

Looking forward to our fourth consecutive year this year 👍. We've had torrential rain and mud (2017 or was it 2016?) and we've had scorching sunshine (2018). Whatever the weather we'll be there and having a fabulous time ⛺️☂️😎🌞🍹🍻🎹🎸🎪

Fingers crossed the weather improves! We'll still have fun anyway, but come on the sunshine!

    See you there! 😎

Found it eventually on a link to Clashfinder right at the bottom of the page.

Keifer and lindesfarne overlapping, what shall I do
