Wickham Festival News

Two festivals for the price of one!

Wickham Music Festival 2022 is just days away but before then, on the Wednesday and Thursday daytime, our festival site is also being used for an exciting new Ideas Festival.

Ideas Festival is for creatives, disruptors, business owners and their teams and also those who are passionate about making the world a better place.

Speakers include Steven Bartlett of Dragons Den along with the founders of Calm, King of Shaves, Phones4U with sessions from TikTok, public speaking workshops, pilates, food & drink samples from the finest independents, sustainable start-up pitching, a boujee car boot sale, latte art master-classes, music and much more.

Anyone buying a weekend season ticket for the Wickham Music Festival can also gain free entry to the new Ideas Festival. That’s two festivals for the price of one! Note: If you’ve already bought a Music Festival Weekend Season Ticket, you will also be able to gain free entry to the new Ideas Festival on Wednesday/Thursday.

We’re also pleased to have our Acoustic Stage sponsored by The Guitar Store from Southampton again this year. We’ve just added stage times to our line up page.  Some great up-and-coming acoustic artists appearing there all weekend.

A stunning aerial view as this year’s Wickham Festival site starts to take shape.

Festival Tickets Selling Fast!

Day & Weekend tickets for next weekend’s Music Festival are selling fast. Have you got yours yet? It’s going to be one of our best-ever Wickham Festivals on our newly grassed fields in glorious sunshine (the long-range weather forecast is fab). Tickets can be purchased here or in person from The Square Cow, The Square, Wickham. Tickets cost from just £50 a day and there are no extra booking fees.

Unused Tickets from 2021

Please note that if you are planning to attend with an unused ticket from 2020/2021, those tickets will NOT gain you entry to this year’s Festival. You need to return unused tickets to us via eastfest@tpalk21.com by Wednesday evening so we can send you new ‘rollover’ tickets for 2022.

Here's another. Heinz Burt Close in Eastleigh. Named after Heinz, the former bass player of The Tornados (famed for their hit Telstar)

Not named after me as such, but I’ve dj’d the silent disco the last 2 years for Bug Beats Events at the Wickham Music Festival! 🤣🤣

There's Charles Watts Way at Hedge end of course

Hi Pete. Did you see my email. Croft No 5 have reformed!! 😊

I saw Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance in 1976 in the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm. What a great band.

    Marylebone, London

As part of the 'other festival' in Pilton you will find a new road Maggies Farm, not a band member but of course from Bobs tune.

OK - I need to get out more! Here’s a little something to fulfil the request!

    Ash Smither

Can't remember where this was now but great name 🤭

Of course its Swansea so it may be the Welsh Dylan

    Spotted this in Partinico, Sicily.

In his home town of Paisley.

Not a road name, but Billy Bragg Bicycles sign in Gillingham is one I remember from childhood. Obviously not that Billy Bragg!
