Wickham Festival News

Are you a bellringer?

It’s the 250th Anniversary of the Wickham Church Bells this year. Wickham Bellringers would like to invite any Wickham Festival bellringers to join them for a bell ringing session on Saturday 5th August from 10.30-12.00 at St Nicholas Church.

“We have a peal of six bells and welcome the chance to ring from Call Changes to Methods to suit your level of experience .There is a ladder to the Tower so not for those with restricted mobility. You are also welcome to join us to ring for our Sunday Service on Sunday 6th August – gather at 9.25am at the Church. If you would like to attend either or both of these just email wickham.ringers@hotmail.co.uk or sign up at the Wickham Village table at the Festival. We are a friendly bunch and would love to see (and hear) you!”

“We practice on Thursdays, so anyone coming down early before the festival begins would be welcome to come along on the Thursday evening. Please visit http://www.wickhamringers.co.uk/ for further information.”
