With just over 5 weeks to go until Wickham Festival 2026 (30th July – 2nd August), we’re delighted to announce what are likely to be the final additions to our two main stages programme.
These latest artists complete a line-up that once again showcases the incredible diversity that has become a hallmark of Wickham Festival. From folk, Americana and roots music to world music, Celtic traditions, singer-songwriters and choral harmonies, the 2026 festival promises four days of outstanding live entertainment with something to suit every musical taste.
Stage times will be announced shortly, but with these latest additions, the artists appearing on each day of the festival are now largely confirmed.
Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage
Opening proceedings on Thursday 30th July, acclaimed folk duo Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage will make their Wickham Festival debut. The pair have earned widespread praise for their beautifully crafted arrangements, close vocal harmonies and thoughtful interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk songs. Their albums have received glowing reviews from the folk press, with many commentators highlighting their ability to breathe new life into traditional material while retaining its authenticity. Intimate, atmospheric and deeply musical, they are the perfect way to begin a festival weekend.
The Dhol Foundation
Returning by popular demand, The Dhol Foundation will headline on Friday night with their first full band performance at Wickham since 2022. Founded by legendary percussionist Johnny Kalsi, the group has been instrumental in bringing the sound of the Punjabi dhol drum to audiences around the world, collaborating with artists ranging from Peter Gabriel to Massive Attack. Their exhilarating live shows combine traditional Bhangra rhythms with contemporary influences, creating a powerful and infectious sound that never fails to get audiences dancing. As well as their headline performance, they will host a Bhangra Dance Workshop on Saturday morning and return after The Saw Doctors on Saturday night for a special late-night DJ set.
Gaz Brookfield & The Company of Thieves
Friday also sees Gaz Brookfield & The Company of Thieves headline Main Stage 2. One of the UK’s most successful independent singer-songwriters, Gaz has built a loyal following through relentless touring, honest songwriting and a strong connection with his audience. His blend of folk, rock and acoustic storytelling has earned him sold-out shows across the country, while recent albums have continued to demonstrate his gift for crafting memorable songs with humour, heart and social commentary. With the added firepower of The Company of Thieves behind him, festival-goers can expect a powerful and uplifting performance.
Windborne
American vocal quartet Windborne bring a completely different musical experience to Friday’s programme. Known for their breathtaking four-part harmonies and innovative arrangements, the group draw on musical traditions from around the world, blending folk songs, labour movement anthems and contemporary compositions. Their performances are largely unaccompanied, placing the focus squarely on their extraordinary vocal ability. Windborne have developed an international reputation for creating powerful musical experiences that are both moving and thought-provoking.
Hejira
Also appearing on Friday are Hejira, one of the UK’s most celebrated tributes to the music of Joni Mitchell. Featuring an exceptional group of musicians led by guitarist Pete Oxley, the band explores Mitchell’s rich catalogue with sensitivity and remarkable musicianship. For their Wickham appearance, vocalist Jana Varga will take centre stage, bringing her acclaimed interpretation of Mitchell’s songs to the festival audience. Expect stunning renditions of classics from albums such as Blue, Court and Spark and Hejira itself.
Nick Parker & The False Alarms
A long-time favourite on the UK folk and festival circuit, Nick Parker & The False Alarms bring their infectious blend of folk, Americana and roots rock to Friday’s line-up. Nick’s witty songwriting, engaging stage presence and knack for memorable melodies have won him fans across the country. Supported by his talented band, The False Alarms, he delivers performances that balance humour, storytelling and musicianship in equal measure. Their live shows have become known for creating a real sense of connection between artist and audience.
Sorrel Nation
Travelling troubadour Sorrel Nation also joins the Friday bill. Blending Americana, folk-rock and country influences, her music is rooted in storytelling and shaped by experiences gathered on the road. With a warm, expressive voice and songs that explore themes of travel, connection and self-discovery, she has built a growing reputation as a compelling live performer. Her authentic songwriting and engaging stage presence make her one of the most exciting emerging artists on the contemporary roots scene.
Alistair Goodwin Band
Appearing on Saturday 1st August, the Alistair Goodwin Band bring together folk, country and acoustic influences in a style that is both accessible and richly melodic. Hampshire-based Alistair Goodwin has developed a strong reputation as a songwriter whose songs are rooted in everyday life and human experience. His band’s performances combine strong musicianship with an easy-going warmth that has made them popular at festivals and venues across the South of England. Their appearance continues Wickham Festival’s long-standing commitment to supporting talented artists from the local area.
The Rose & Thistle Pipes and Drums
Also joining the Saturday programme are The Rose & Thistle Pipes and Drums. Combining the stirring sound of traditional Scottish bagpipes with precision drumming and colourful Highland dress, the band are always a crowd favourite. Their performances celebrate Scotland’s rich musical heritage while providing a spectacular visual element that perfectly complements the festival atmosphere. Expect rousing tunes, impeccable musicianship and plenty of festival spirit.

With these latest announcements, the Wickham Festival 2026 main stage line-up is now effectively complete, offering one of the most varied programmes in the festival’s history. Across four days, audiences will be able to enjoy folk, Americana, Celtic music, world music, singer-songwriters, roots rock, vocal harmony groups, traditional music, jazz, blues, country and much more.
Local Stage and late night comedy announced
In addition to the main stage programme, we have already announced a fantastic selection of performers for our Local Stage, continuing our commitment to supporting musicians from the surrounding region. Our popular late-night comedy programme, running from Thursday through to Saturday, has also now been revealed, ensuring there is entertainment long after the main stages close.
