Should add that not a speck of litter was left behind thanks to Smudger's amazing litter-picking crew.
I walked past yesterday. We love having such a great festival within walking distance of our house and also nice to see it back to normal.
It was fantastic and no trouble at all and I live right across from it! Well done to all of you, look forward to next year x
Thanks for all the effort you put in. Much appreciated 🙏 it wouldn't be here without your good self taking the time to stage it. Great times and memories. Fortunate to see both sides of the festival
Was great fun. Thank you. Tickets bought for next year already.

Brilliant! Well done to everyone - it was an amazing weekend! Do you have a list of any ‘left behind’ items? One of my friends lost a bunch of keys and would love to be reunited with them!!
Great festival. Thanks for all your hard work.
So much happiness right there ❤️ Next year…
The breakdown is the hard bit - adrenaline doesn't pump in quite the same way as on build-up. But four days.... wow!!! Get some serious Zzzzs.
Thank you for another fab weekend 😊
What a fantastic festival - looking forward to next year with Claire Hartt-Palmer, Paul Jerome, Alison Jerome, Deanna Gaze, Mark Gaze and many others!

So who or what did you enjoy most at this year's Wickham Festival? And who would you like us to book next year? ... See MoreSee Less
The Men They Couldn’t Hang were awesome as were Dhol Foundation
I just want to say a massive thank you to the Sound Level acoustic stage for having us play on the Sunday afternoon. The crowd were incredible and so supportive of my music. It was amazing meeting and chatting with some of you afterwards too. Thank you to every one of you for cheering, clapping, joining in and for buying cds. All the acts I saw there were incredible and I really hope we get to return as a bigger band next year. <3
The Men They Couldn’t Hang were amazing. Would love to see them again next year. Also you should get Robb Johnson (Official) to perform. He’s brilliant.
I liked all the bands others have already mentioned, but wanted to also specifically highlight how great it was to have a variety of youth bands from St Vincent College appearing. They were all really confident, enthusiastic and energetic and it was a brilliant idea to have them play two or three songs before handing over to the next group. More of this apparoach in the mornings would be fabulous!
10cc. Dhol Foundation. Spooky Mens Coral society. Show of Hands. Gary Stewart's Graceland were great last year.
Grace Petrie, The Celtic Social Club, Dhol Foundation, Steve Wickham, Ferocious Dog, they were all fantastic!
Saw Doctors, 10cc, Men They Couldn't Hang and the Undertones were fantastic! Would love to see Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Deacon Blue, Edward II, the Dualers next year.
3 Daft Monkeys Moulettes. Frank Turner Emma Stevens Dreadzone. Please. 🤞🏻 Highlights -The Celtic Social Club Saw Doctors Miranda Sykes bonus! Dhol foundation both sets. Grace Petrie.Levellers Skinny Lister 10cc Ferocious dog Steve Knightly …in fact just everyone I saw was brilliant. Acoustic and Tea Rooms filled to brim with talent. 🙌 Thank you -all of you - for putting on such a great event and to all the fab volunteers. ❤️ AWESOME.
Skinny Lister were great. And Will Varley is amazing but put him on a bigger time slot please. Get Frank Turner back! Book Vri and Calan next year 🙂 , Gavin Osborn, Nick Parker, Three Daft Monkeys, Gaz Brookfield. How about booking Newton Faulkner? Oh and the Dhol Foundation were just awesome! Not what I expected from the listing, blew everyone away 🙂 only wish I could have stayed for more of the festival.
10CC were awesome!!
TMTCH, Oyster Band and Show of Hands were all superb, book them all again plus The Strawbs, Steeleye Span, Lindisfarne, Home Service, The Sweet, Tom Robinson Band
For next year - Big Country, Merry Hell and get Phil Odgers back so he can do his MainStage set after his awful journey down - although his set in the acoustic tent was brilliant.
Enjoyed this year: Skinny Lister, Grace Petrie, Ferocious Dog, The Undertones, Spiers & Boden, Sharon Shannon, Banter. Of the headliners, the Levellers, 10cc and the Saw Doctors were all excellent but I'm afraid that The Waterboys gave the impression that they were there under sufferance. A great year all round.
10cc were the total highlight! Need to keep acoustic stage too. The South (former beautiful south) Alison Moyet
The Trouble Notes and Dhol Foundation were excellent. Would like to see Elephant Sessions, The Fishermen's Friends, Bears Den
Tuneless Choir we’re great fun! 👍
Fleetwood Bac for a proper set would be great and the South always good
Loved Cut Capers, Dohl Foundation and many more but was sad to see Tankus the Henge was not on this year ! please can we have them back! x
The men they couldn’t hang , they were fantastic 👍well done to all that volunteered and organised it . Truly a brilliant festival loads of highlights. 👏🏻
A lovely weekend. Normally at the end of a festival I am ready to go home, but this time I could happily have stayed a few more days. Best set for me was perhaps the Waterboys, new discovery was the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, with Will Varley a close second. Fabulous weekend, thank you. As for who I'd like to see next time -- anybody new. A few old favourites is good but I'd rather discover new artists.
10cc, Skinny Lister, Ferocious Dog, The Dhol Foundation were all amazing. Count me in as another one for Frank Turner please. Also, check out The Lottery Winners Peter.... an amazing band! Another vote for Big Country here. A bit more Ska please..... The Skalatons were brilliant Anything a bit more "up tempo". I appreciate a balance needs to be struck, but the bands I enjoyed were a bit more high tempo
I loved the Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Spooky Mens Chorale and Town of Cats - lots of energy and fun 💜💜💜
Get the Quay West stage back. Less fidley fidley. Move the Twisted tearoom and Tea kettle apart from each other. More acts new to Wickham. Yes I loved The Undertones, Ferocious Dog and Saw Doctors, the Twisted Tearoom was great. I personally want bands I have not seen before. How about Jason Is bell and Stiff little fingers.
Highlights: Spiers & Boden, The Undertones, Cut Capers, Spooky Men (and workshop), Dhol Foundation, SofH; others in my party loved Ferocious Dog (clashed with SofH so didn't see). Missed: The Quay West Stage and Tankus The Henge Next Year: all of the above please; I second requests for Peatbog Fairies & Talisk; Bellowhead (hopefully a successful Novemeber tour will persuade them to do a festival circuit) and Richard Morris - who we discovered on the Quay West stage and our whole family loves and why that stage is so important!
Pamela Horrigan Annette Lansley
Lovely words from the Trouble Notes in their latest mailshot. They clearly had a blast at the Wickham Festival... and we loved having them. They went down an absolute storm. If you missed them, do check them out!
Best Weekend of our Lives!
We’ve just finished one of the craziest weekends of our lives! We’ve reached the middle point of our Summer Tour Bonanza and it’s safe to say that this year has been the best of our careers....
Wickham Folk Festival. What in the world happened there! Three years ago our dear friend Richard passed our information along to Peter who is the booking programmer for the festival, and not long after he heard our music did he invite us to perform at the festival. It was exciting because along with Glastonbury, Wickham was to be one of our first “proper” UK Festivals. We had been waiting years to start breaking into the UK Festival scene and this was a great chance. What happened was truly remarkable. We had an electric performance, and the audience gave us so much in return! With each song it felt like we were hyping one another up even further. One of the themes of this year for us has been our deepening connection with the UK and Ireland. This year has confirmed that we need to spend A LOT more time across the Channel and rest assured that we will spend a significant chunk of our time there next year. We’re going to have to raise our glasses to a beautiful future together British/Irish Troublemakers! ... See MoreSee Less
The Trouble Notes were fantastic, the musical discovery of this year's festival for us.... hope to catch them soon somewhere in Germany 🇩🇪
They were extraordinary. Amazing energy and musicianship. Highlight of my weekend!
Richard Collier thank you again ❤🥰
Their obvious enjoyment was so compelling and brought that pinch of magic dust that makes a truly memorable performance. ✨️
Can we have them back again please Wickham? Pleeeease!
They were brilliant - so glad I got to see them, also discovering Tom Davies & the Blubirds in the Twisted Tearooms - two gotta see in the future bands for us
One of our favourites ❤ absolutely amazing! They actually gave me goosebumps listening to them. Will definitely be looking out for them in the future!! ❤
Brilliant. Hi energy. Fun. Perfect addition to the festival. Sign me up as a troublemaker!
A beautifully written accolade to a fabulous Wickham Music Festival experience. I like the idea of being a ‘troublemaker’ sounds fun 🤩🤣😆
The Trouble Notes were my find of the festival- they were truly excellent- can not wait to see them again- Thank-you Wickham for the best festival ever!!!😎😀☯🤩
My best new find this weekend! It was really lovely to see their family and friends just in front of us too 🥰
They were amazing, the tent filled up as they played, everyone I spoke to said they were their find of the weekend, mine too!
Wonderful! They were absolutely incredible! ❤️
You were AMAZING! I've been playing your music on hard rotation since Sunday.
Extraordinary, we absolutely loved them.
Trouble Notes for Wickham next year please please please! Could we have 90 minutes too 😃
They were incredible. Like I said to them at the time, I’ve seen quite a few bands, I’ve seen the Rolling Stones, I’ve seen Pink Floyd, I’ve seen Pulp….. they were up there with the best….. Not forgetting Slim Chance.
So impressed with this band, has to one of my top 10 for the whole weekend. Will definitely be following them now so I can catch them again
They were absolutely amazing, so so talented 💖
Amazing set, great musicianship, melodies and energy - best find of the weekend!
They were amazing, hope they come back next year.
The Trouble Notes blew my mind. I loved every minute of their set and can’t wait for their UK tour.
Loved them!! heard them from outside and we had to follow the sound in- their energy and talent was unreal! 🙌🏻
The Trouble Notes were brilliant - amazing performance & one of the many highlights of the festival. I would love to see them at Wickham again & it would be great if Wickham could invite Faith i Branko as well. (Well worth checking out)
They were truly awesome, one of the weekend’s highlights to be sure! Helen Peeters
