With only a few days to go and the weather forecast looking positive, things are really starting to get exciting. If you follow our Facebook page, you’ll have seen our arena site take shape so far.

As many of you know we’re located in a wonderful, rural part of Hampshire. Wickham village is a great starting point for a ramble along the Meon Valley Trail, a scenic path along a former railway line. If you’re up early before the music starts this is a great way to begin your day.
We’d encourage everyone to visit the main village square. There will be a free festival shuttle bus service that runs 9am-5pm Thursday to Sunday, linking the festival entrance on the A334 Winchester Road with Wickham Square. The festival bus stop is outside McCarthys Fruit & Veg shop on the Winchester Road.
Wickham Square is the second largest medieval market square in England, a testament to the village’s history as a trading centre. Of course, if history is your thing don’t forget about our Wickham History Walks on Friday and Saturday organised by our friends at the Wickham History Society.
There are some fantastic places to visit in the square, not least one of our official sponsors, Woodies in Wickham. This is a new establishment that only opened its doors in April. This tearoom and bistro serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even has its own in-house lager. Not only are they running a competition to win 4 free breakfasts, but there will be live music on the evening of Wednesday 30th. Our campsites will be open from 12 noon to 9pm on Wednesday for early arrivals. So why not pitch up your tent on the Wednesday and head down. Book your table now to enjoy an evening of great food, drinks, and live music in the heart of the action.
We thank all our sponsors for their work in supporting our festival. Bloom on The Green in Stubbington Village, Fareham are the local florists supporting us this year. Their lovely team are passionate about what they do and have over 35 years’ experience in all areas of floristry.
Another supporter of our festival is the local branch of Hobgoblin Music in Southampton. They offer a unique range of unusual and exciting acoustic instruments from all over the world. They have many instruments from British makers and designers with every item handpicked for their catalogue on merit. They encourage more people to discover and enjoy English, Irish, Scottish & Welsh traditional music, as well as all the many other types of folk music. It’s certainly an interesting shop to visit next time you’re in Southampton!
