Over the last few weeks we’ve been adding to our line up with some incredible artists to entertain us this summer. Please follow our Facebook page for the latest updates. We’ve just announced our main Saturday headliner, Richard Thompson. Having co-founded the groundbreaking group Fairport Convention as a teenager in the ‘60s, he has gone on to become one of the most influential artists and respected songwriters with numerous accolades to his name. His song “1952 Vincent Black Lightning” was named one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Greatest Songs Since 1923.”
A Wickham favourite, Merry Hell, will be returning to our stage having last performed in 2023. They always offer joyful, uplifting folk-rock, with a message for troubled times. Another returning act is Track Dogs. Made up of two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American, the band create their own unique brand of acoustic music – a veritable 4 x 4 of voices and instruments identified by the fusion of styles which include Americana, Latino, Folk, Bluegrass and (whisper it…) Pop!
The excellent Reg Meuross and his quartet featuring Phil Beer, Marion Fleetwood & Geraint Watkins will be bringing their Fire & Dust / Woody Guthrie story to Wickham on Sunday 3rd August 2025. Phil Beer (one half of Show of Hands) will also be appearing solo on the same day.
Last but not least, we have 3 Wickham debuts for The Thumping Tommys, Eabhal, and Lucy Spraggan. The Thumping Tommys are a London based Folk/Bluegrass/Americana band. Eabhal have made a significant impact on the Scottish music scene with their vibrant and energetic folk music. Chart-topping singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan’s unique blend of folk, indie-pop and acoustic sounds paired with powerful and emotive lyrics have captivated audiences worldwide.
