Hi,
I'm currently booking festival slots for Escort Knights and heard about Wickham Festival through recommendation. Are you accepting press packs/demos for bands submissions this year? Or does anyone have any contact details for the promoter(s)? If this is the best way of getting in touch, our full press pack can be downloaded from our website.
Good luck to all those involved with organising next year's event!

Hi Joe – We're not looking for any more unsigned artists at present – we already have a long 'wish-list' and only a very limited number of performance slots still to fill. Sorry we can't be more helpful at the present time. The Organisers

Saw Squeeze and the Lightning Seeds last night in Boscombe. Brilliant.
Would make a great Wickham headliner and would get the festival off to a great start !

Really pleased to see Kan on the bill. Saw them on Friday at Bury Met and they were excellent , combining all the best qualities of Lau and Flook.
Couple more suggestions:
Daimh would be great to see live and I believe thart Argent are reforming for a few one off gigs thjs year and next…….
Shaping up for a superb festival, Peter……….Many Thanks!
Thanks for your comments. I'm seeing Daimh next weekend at the invitation of their agent who is keen for me to book them for Wickham. We've also got some other great bands in the pipeline for Wickham 2011. Watch this space!

Zero The Hero said:How about Fastlane Roogalator and Swill and the Swagger Band (both spin-off bands from men They Couldn't Hang)
Many people enjoyed The Men They Couldn't Hang at Wickham 2010 so, in answer to numerous emailed requests, we hope to invite the full band back to Wickham 2011.
How about Fastlane Roogalator and Swill and the Swagger Band for the second stage then (assuming that there is going to be one)?
Cheaper alternative, seeing as the guys will be there anyway.

Hopefully not beyond the realms of Wickham, I would love to see the following make an appearance in 2011:
Angus & Julia Stone for a great early evening slot.
Martha Wainwright any time.
Starsailor to headline.
Gotta keep the dreams alive.

The Redlands Palomino Co are from Gosport originally I believe, so it'd be good to have them back in the area.

Have seen a really good solo artist several times recently called Matthew Kilford (http://www.facebook.com/pages/…..1637442274) and I think he'd go down well at Wickham…

Jumping in with suggestions thrown up by the children :
A craft workshop or two, perhaps with a prosession, to show off their handy work. The only make and do, was costly, and well out with littlies budgets after the first day :( Pizza please, the cost of a meal for a family of 4 from the stands, was £20 a shout min, though we brought our own food for most of the weekend, there is a call for something other than 'Burger, hot dog and chips' for young ones.
A few more workshops, as with the Zulu Nation presentation, which went down a treat. Kids are not fussed, they get stuck in no matter, so why not ask one of the the morris sides to hold a silly moment for the kiddies. A circus skills or parachute games would also find favour with quite a few.
As for Bands, well I would love to see The Mick West Band make a welcome return one lazy afternoon, and Bellowhead, Kate Rusby and any thing that does not include the Levellers yet again. Red Hot Chilli Pipers, would be grand for a pick one up, and a bit of fun. A bit of Blues would be welcome for sure, and anything with a rousing French/Canadian beat would be nice for a change. Anyhow thats my input, more for the kiddies, even willing to pay a small amount for them, say £5 or £10 ticket, towards the cost of kiddie make and do and workshops. Heck, would even be willing to help organise it, and give my time to run a crafty tent. All one needs is a lot of scrap material, recyclables and glue :)
Thanks again Peter and keep up the good work.

Saw this band All Things Considered in Reading recently. They were awesome and would go down really well at the 2011 festival!
Leatherat (who I saw at Weyfest) are also blinding!
