Davy Jones of The Mokees lived just down the road from Wickham for several years so some old Monkees films would have a local relevance as well

a showing of "Head" or some re runs of old Monkees shows would be appropriate, and popular.

Good idea Simon and we're certainly planning that. The late night screening of the original Isle of Wight Festival film last year proved very popular and so we hope to show more music / festival films at Wickham this summer. Ideas welcomed!

Smashing.
Could we have some music/festival based films eg Fairport Convention at Maidstone, Pink Floyd live at Pompei etc?

Our friends at the Groovy Movie solar-powered cinema tent will be returning in 2012 with a brand new licence to screen 'blockbuster' movies as well as all their usual quirky and entertaining animations, music videos and award-winning environmental films. Jerry at The Groovy Movie would love to hear what films you'd like to see at Wickham 2012? It could be anything from the original Woodstock Festival movie, The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle or Grease to The Blues Brothers, The Sound of Music or The Wizard of Oz! Please use this Forum to let us have your ideas for daytime, evening and late-night screenings (we've a licence to screen films into the early hours).
